Q1 2024 Performance of Top Cryptocurrency Apps in Latin America

In the first quarter of 2024, the cryptocurrency app landscape in Latin America exhibited diverse user engagement and download trends. Data from Sensor Tower offers insights into how these apps fared during this period.

World App - Worldcoin Wallet saw a significant fluctuation in downloads, with a peak of 353K in the third week of February, followed by a consistent trend above 200K downloads for the following weeks. Weekly active users for the app showed an upward trend, starting at 450K in the first week of January and reaching nearly 979K by the end of March.

Binance: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto maintained strong performance, with downloads starting at 121K and reaching a high of 242K in the second week of March. The app's weekly active users also saw a general increase, starting the quarter with 1.27M users and peaking at 1.72M in the second week of March.

Coinbase: Buy Bitcoin & Ether experienced a more dramatic shift in downloads, starting the quarter with 11K and surging to 244K in the third week of March. Weekly active users showed a steady increase from around 99K in the first week to 121K by the third week of March.

Sweat Wallet had a modest start with 48K downloads in the first week of January, dipping to 29K by the first week of March, and then recovering to 44K by the end of the quarter. The trend in weekly active users remained relatively stable, starting at 393K and ending the quarter with 468K.

Lastly, Nexo: Buy Bitcoin & Crypto saw consistent downloads, beginning at 23K and ending the quarter with 21K. Weekly active users for Nexo showed a slight upward trend, starting at 61K and reaching 71K by the end of March.
